In
a world where technology has become one of the
most powerful tools to attain global equality,
its proliferation has been limited to the more
affluent parts of the world creating the Digital
Divide.
There are many patriotic and
like minded people in the top of wealth and knowledge
who have pooled their thinking and things for
leveling the inequalities.
In India less than one percent
of the population owns a personal computer, and
just over one percent use the Internet. The State
and Central Governments are moving ahead in the
IT-highway - from electoral rolls to village kiosks,
computers and Internet in Panchayats. Banks and
corporates are already on the Net.
Indian schools and students should
Communicate digitally with Presidents of India
and the United States, and to the grass root Panchayat
President without the fear of distance.
